Bitsoven builds internal tools, client SaaS, and our own software. We're based in Gatineau, Quebec, and we care more about what ships than what pitches well.
What we actually are
Bitsoven isn't a marketing or design agency — we outsource visual design to specialists we trust and focus entirely on what we're best at: building and shipping software. That includes internal systems that replace manual processes, SaaS products built for clients, and our own products that we design, build, and maintain ourselves.

Took over a first release built on AWS Lambda that was expensive to run and carried serious technical debt. Rebuilt it on a NestJS backend with PostgreSQL and an Angular frontend, and built an ETL pipeline to keep the new database in sync with the existing one during the migration. The new version went live.

From 2011 to 2015, built custom e-commerce solutions for clients on OpenCart, PrestaShop, Magento, WooCommerce, Shopify and CS-Cart. From 2015, moved to custom application development in Python and PHP, and kept doing e-commerce work on custom stacks instead of off-the-shelf platforms.

How we think about software
- We build our own products.If we won't run our own software on our own standards, we won't ship yours on them either.
- We contribute to open source.Some of what we build is public — a direct way to evaluate our code quality before working with us.
- We stay small on purpose.Direct communication with the people writing your code, not a management layer between you and the work.
- You own what we build.Your code, your infrastructure and your data stay yours. We favour open-source, self-hostable tools and Canadian providers, so you are never locked in or left guessing where your data lives.

Bitsoven is based in Gatineau, Quebec, across the river from Ottawa — proudly bilingual, working in person with businesses in the Ottawa–Gatineau region and remotely with clients across Canada and beyond.
